Kairos

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 27 June 2025  ·  Last updated: 27 June 2025

Short version: Kairos stores all of your data on your device only. We collect nothing, transmit nothing, and share nothing with any third party. Your workouts, measurements, and personal profile never leave your phone unless you explicitly share them yourself.

1. Who We Are

Kairos is an iOS fitness tracking application developed by Pawin Peetawan, an independent developer ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Data We Collect

Kairos is a fully offline, local-first app. All data is stored in a private SQLite database and system preferences on your device. The following categories of information may be stored:

Category Examples Required?
Personal profile Display name, date of birth, sex, height, body weight, fitness goal, activity level, equipment preference Required
Body measurements Weight, chest, waist, arms, hips, thighs, neck, calves, shoulders; progress photos Optional

We do not collect your email address, phone number, username, device identifiers, IP address, location, or any information that identifies you to us or any third party.

3. How We Use Your Data

Data you enter into Kairos is used solely to operate the app features you have requested:

Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the features described above.

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored locally on your device in a private application directory. On iOS this is within the app sandbox, protected by the operating system. No data is sent to our servers because we do not operate any servers.

Your data is protected by the same device-level security you use to lock your phone (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). We do not apply additional encryption beyond what iOS provides by default.

Deleting the app permanently removes all associated data from your device.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, license, or share your personal data with any third party.

The only way data leaves your device is when you explicitly choose to share it:

All sharing is opt-in, user-initiated, and delivered via the iOS native share system. We are not involved in or informed of these share actions.

Kairos does not integrate with any analytics providers, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or social platforms.

6. Device Permissions

Kairos may request the following device permissions:

Kairos does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, health data, calendar, or any other device feature.

7. Health Platform Integration

Kairos does not read from or write to Apple Health, HealthKit, or any other health platform. Your workout data exists only within Kairos and is not synchronised with any external health database.

8. Children's Privacy

Kairos is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will assist with data removal.

9. Your Rights & Data Control

Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control at all times:

As we do not receive or store any of your data on our systems, there is no additional action we need to take on our end to fulfil deletion or access requests. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice within the app. Continued use of Kairos after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
